Research Student Awarded Prestigious Travel Scholarship

Alex Rutar, a research student working on fractal geometry in the Analysis research group, has won the 2023 London Mathematical Society Cecil King Travel Scholarship for early career mathematicians. This prestigious award recognises Alex’s already outstanding research and has enabled him to visit the University of Oulu in the north of Finland for three months to develop his research and to collaborate with experts in the fractals group at Oulu.
