DataView

what's this

DataView is a PC program for recording and analysing data derived from analog signals using A/D acquisition systems. It is primarily designed for neuroscientists, but it may be of interest to other scientists and engineers dealing with similar digitised data.

Feature details

Chart, Scope and Matrix views of data traces. Export as high-quality graphics.

Supports many commercial file formats.

Interactive and intuitive event recognition and analysis.

Spike sorting with 3D visualisation of principal components, wavelets and other parameters.

Data filtering and transformation. Mains interference "de-buzz".

Non-linear curve-fit of arbitrary expressions to data. Fit exponential or error-function time constants.

Spectrogram and discrete wavelet transform analysis.

Phase-plane analysis, Lorentz (Poincaré) return maps, correlation, dwell-time analysis, JPSTH and more ...

Batch process multiple operations.

Teaching: Use with students for lab recordings and to give hands-on experience of data analysis.

Recording: Dataview can record from the computer microphone input, Arduino microprocessors, and DataTranslation AD/DA boards.

External data: Histogram and 3-D scattergraph facilities can be used with data generated external to DataView.

Options for Mac users.

The list above gives only an overview of what DataView can do. DataView comes with a comprehensive tutorial and numerous sample files, so if you think it looks interesting, the best thing to do is to download it and try it out!
