Maintenance or repair issues

Contact reception either in person, by phone on extension 7100, or by email at drarepairs@st-andrews.ac.uk.

The wardennial team provides out-of-hours contact and support, as well as links to daytime services to ensure that help is available at all hours of the day.

Residents can drop in to the wardens' office to discuss any issue between 7pm and 8pm.

Meal times

Meals are served at the following times for those on a catered contract:

  • Monday to Friday
    • Breakfast: 8am to 10am
    • Dinner: 5.30pm to 7.30pm
  • Saturday and Sunday
    • Breakfast: 8am to 10am
    • Lunch: 12 noon to 2pm

Emergencies

For the police, the fire brigade or an ambulance: dial 999 from your mobile or 9 999 from a University phone, then inform the Duty Manager or the Duty Warden.

The University's Security and Response Team is also available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to deal with security incidents and provide emergency support. You can contact the security team on extension 8999 or by calling +44 (0)1334 46 8999.


Laundry

Fife Park 2

If you live in Maciver, Fairlie, Garrett, Sellers or Dunlop you will use the laundries to the rear of the Sellers and Dunlop buildings. Please note that you won’t have access in through the front door of the building and must follow the exterior path to the external laundry door.

This laundry uses the Washstation App; more information is available in the laundry and on the Washstation website (external link). If you are having any issues, either with the laundry machines or using the app, or you need laundry assistance, please contact Washstation directly through the Help and Support section on the website

Opening times will be displayed on the laundry door and access will be with your matriculation card. You will need your own laundry detergent.

Fife Park 3

If you live in All Saints, Blackfriars, Castle, Riggs, Monaid, Kilrule, Muckross, Cathedral and Chariots you will use the laundries at the rear of the Monaid and Chariots buildings. Please note that you won’t have access in through the front door of the building and must follow the exterior path to the external laundry door.

These laundries operate on a Circuit App: more information is displayed in the laundries and can be found on the Circuit website (external link). If you are having any issues using the machines or using the app or need additional assistance, please see the FAQs on the Circuit web page

Opening times will be displayed on the laundry door and access will be with your matriculation card for Monaid laundry or your Onity key for Chariots laundry. You will need your own laundry detergent.


Leisure facilities

  • Music room: Please contact reception during office hours to add access to your matriculation card, if you have not already done so. Each student can book one hour, once a day.
  • Cinema room: Please contact reception during office hours for access. Outwith these hours, please contact the night Porter on 7222 (choose option 2 for DRA).
  • Nisbet room: Bookings for the Nisbet room will require a completed events form to be emailed to drareception@st-andrews.ac.uk at least two weeks in advance.
